Are the Gurus killing off affiliate marketing for the newbies?
As I write this post and as of today alone my inbox is jam packed with emails from the top affiliate marketers doing what they do best – promoting another of the top marketer’s new product launch, juiced up with bonuses that out value the “New Product” being promoted! – Ofcours there is nothing wrong in that since that’s how they make money.
The only problem? You and I are new to this game, you and I don’t have a collection of high value products to give away as a bonus – so if you and I were to promote the same “New Just Launched” product of the moment, what would be our chances of getting a sale?
I’ll tell you – bluntly – Zilch! A big fat ZERO is what we will get for our efforts. So I pose the question:- Are the gurus killing off the affiliate marketing avenue for the newbie? And I call on going back to the basics of the way of clickbank promotion. What do you think? Can you make it as a newbie? can you compete with the big guys out there? Or will you be one of the “95% who fail online” as per the guru’s saying and stats!
Or am I off track completely? Leave a comment and voice your opinion! lol even if you think I am of my rocker – this is what blogging is all about 
totally agree with you, i’m also new with this. everything need effort and hardworks. selling 1 or 2 products is enough, keep learning how they do it, and not make this as a full job.
if you want to get something, better you give something first
I’m not so sure you’re you’re right… I’m a little guy like you, but I’ve accumulated stuff over the years that you can give away free as an affiliate bonus offer… You could bundle a bunch of pdf books in a zip file and offer that to get an edge over competition as long as it has high perceived value… You know, even the super affiliates started small like you and me just to learn how it all is done… A lot of that high value stuff they give away turns out to suffer from the same old thing complex.
@jim – That is a valid point and yes it can be done, I do it. But you’ve also hit on the main keyword in your comment “high perceived value” and the statement “A lot of that high value stuff they give away turns out to suffer from the same old thing complex” – this is where the little guy like you and me suffer.
Although as you rightly mention that their products tend to suffer with the same old same old complex – the normal person out there doesnt know that, and since the guru’s bonus seem more valuable we little guys stand very little chance in competing with them even though our bonuses are indeed of high quality and value.
But yes I do see and understand where you are coming from.
