How To Get Answers To All Your Blogging Questions

There has been a number of readers asking questions using the comments form. I would like to remind all that although comments and feedback a very much welcome and I do my best to approve the ones that a relevant and of value, I can not respond to “Questions” raised with in the comments form – in fact the vast majority of these have ended up in the spam folder and subsequently deleted.

So here’s how you can get all your blogging questions answered by me personally or by any member of the readership community of Blog Installation Service.

Should A Blog Post Be Used To Pitch A Sale?

This is one of those questions that has a true “two faces to the coin” so to speak. And I ask the question with a good reason with full awareness that both sides will and do have valid arguments. I’ll just present my opinion and would love to hear yours in return.

Have I used blogs to pitch sales? Yes I must admit I have and I must also admit that I now believe I was wrong. In my opinion, a blog is and should be used to deliver highly valuable free content to the readers. Reason being the vast majority of people who frequently visit blogs are looking for nothing more than a good article full of valuable information.

If by any chance you sell digital media on your blog you may relate to this. Ever wondered why the download counter of your products keeps going up even though the number of sales does not tally up with it?

I guess we all learn through our mistakes or negligence and once bitten we are twice shy, so we take precautions to safeguard our rights and products. In order to do so one must first of all understand how things work, especially with blogs. As we all know blogs are content driven and Google love such sites and thus index them quickly and rank them high in the search results.

Did Google Friends Connect Compromise My Blog?

Two days ago I added Google friends connect to my blog and at first all seemed to be ok. So feeling confident I proceeded to add the Social bar, you may have seen it on some sites/blogs. Like the one pictured bellow.

Looks good, no? So I thought. But now I believe that unknowingly I opened a doorway for a hacker to get in. Yesterday at around 20:30hrs I published my last post Make Money Bloggingand around 20:45 I thought I’d take a look at my site to see how things are shaping up only to be greeted by a “403 Forbidden you have no access to this server” message, I was baffled!

Answer:

To put it bluntly – Yes! If you are a small business operator or an individual for that matter looking to have an online presence then blogging is the way forward.

But why a blog you may ask! Simple
