Blog Installation Service – A Time To Reflect
Today I write this blog post not to boast or show off, but in the hope that it will inspire those of you who are still sitting on the fence in contemplation weather to start a blog or not.
I started this blog and the services that I provide officially on 31st of March 2009 and since then I have seen the value in monetary rise steadily. When I first had it valued back in May this blog was worth roughly $1,600, a month later it jumped to just over $6,000. Not bad for for 3 months work right?
Now how much do you think this blog is worth now? $10,000 maybe? or maybe its $20,000? Imagine my surprise when I had it valued @ $134,800.40 
– Yes that’s right!

OK, so why am I telling you all this? Well, I want you to realise the benefits of owning your own blog and the value it has. Your own domain-name.com, a hosting account and a few months of your time creating content and promoting your blog could be worth a few thousand dollars and more.
I have a number of domain names which I like to refer to as my Virtual Real Estates (VREs) and some of them have no content at all, just the hosting company’s default page and the lowest valuation I have is $2,000
Now I don’t want to mislead you into thinking that just by having a domain name and or a blog will make you rich, No Sir! But what I can tell you is this – having and setting up a number of VREs, be it 1 or be it 10, you will see your investment grow.
You can build these sites up for a few months and then sell them on to those who don’t have the time to set it all up. And believe you me, there are literally thousands of people out there who are looking for such service. I may not get the actual valuation above, but if I was to sell up today am sure I can command a good sum of money out of the right buyer.
So if you a looking for an online business model, one that you can run at your leisure and or even in your spare time – then I highly recommend you take the plunge in to the world of Virtual Real Estates. But remember this, the value is entirely dependant on a good domain name in relation to a good niche. So choose wisely and reap the rewards later

Hi Dave – They use an algorithim based on unique visitors, page views, social bookmarkings, web popularity and doman name relevance amongst others to determin the value. I believe the measure is then made against sites that have sold for a specisifc price to determin the final value. Alexa ranking, Google PR and backlinks play an important part too.
The actual algorithim and workings seem to be kept secret to themselves and the above is my understanding of it all.
